One brush for the entire dentition? With interdental hygiene, that is not necessarily the case

The spaces between teeth are not always the same size. That is why one person may benefit from using several sizes of interdental brushes at the same time – a smaller one, for example, between the front teeth and a larger one in other parts of the dentition.

A properly selected interdental brush should fill the space with its bristles but pass through it without force. One that is too small may not clean the space sufficiently, while one that is too large can be difficult to insert and may make use uncomfortable. A dental hygienist or dentist can also help determine the appropriate sizes.

Interdental brushes are useful not only between natural teeth. They are also practical for cleaning around braces, bridges or implants, where there may be areas that require more precise cleaning.

And just like a regular toothbrush, an interdental brush does not last forever. When its bristles become significantly worn or the wire becomes deformed, it is time to replace it.
