From simple fixation of a dressing to firmer support – the properties of a bandage are determined primarily by its material, elasticity and adhesion. Individual types of bandage materials therefore cannot be used interchangeably.

Fixation bandages are primarily used to secure dressings and other medical devices. Elastic bandages adapt to the shape of the body and, depending on the design, allow different levels of compression to be applied. Self-fixing variants stay in place thanks to the adhesion of their individual layers to one another and generally do not require any additional means of fixation.

The range also includes net and tubular bandages, elastic bandages and other fixation materials for treating different parts of the body. When choosing, the intended use, required elasticity and width corresponding to the application site are important.
